JOB SUMMARY: Parts clerk is responsible to assist the parts manager with the receipt, verification, labeling, storage, and documentation of all parts and supplies, executing shop administrative tasks, and organizing day-to-day functions.

EXPERIENCE: Have 2 years’ Experience in a Bus, Truck, Auto Maintenance Facility or Dealership preferred

RATE OF PAY: $16.70-$17.20 per hour

Company covers 100% of premium for Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance and Short Term Disability.

RESPONSIBILITIES: The duties and responsibilities of the Parts Clerk shall consist of, but not be limited to, the following:

o Move materials and items from receiving to Parts Room or other designated areas

o Receives shipments from vendors, checking vendor packing slips/invoices for accuracy and insuring quantities received are as stated; maintains appropriate records

o Directly issues parts received to open work orders or places parts in proper location within the parts room

o Enters receipt and distribution of parts/supplies into computer to update automated inventory records

o Research through use of parts manuals, computer software for required parts

o Conducts periodic physical inventory to assure proper availability of required stock; replenishes stock as shipments arrive

o File requisitions, work orders or requests for materials, tools or other stock items o Responsible for carrying out work assignments in an efficient manner to maximize productivity

o Responsible for following plant safety procedures, guidelines, and rules as job functions are performed and reporting any unsafe condition

o Maintains a clean work area and follows all safety procedures to maintain a safe working environment

o Follows and adheres to all procedures, polices, work rules, regulations and procedures

o Perform other duties and responsibilities as requested
